Get to know your city council:  Link to special meeting where each was allowed to say what they thought was important to them and the city.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nR9V7YZhN5E

We also investigate issues and initiate conversation with the city.  In their recent April 9, 2024 meeting they said this is something they wanted to be more engaged with.

We invite you to be involved in your city and with your city government.

I, Doug, have lived in Millwood since April 1999, yet I waited until last year to attend the council meetings.   I heard the city council was discussing $20,000 for a new logo.  The city was in process of installing signs they had recently purchased with the existing logo.  The council approved contracting a design house and received back child level design ideas.   The people of the city spoke up at the council meeting scheduled to approve one of the design options.  We said NO.  The council listened and cancelled the idea. Still had to pay $20,000.

A blend of positive and negative has happened since.  We invite you to listen first hand by being at the meetings in person, or on-line. Then communicate your thoughts to the city council.
